  1. Spring is sprung, and with it comes a new game for
  2. the Apple II! Visit the Apple II RoundTable
  3. (keyword A2) and download the latest rage in fun
  4. while you still have cool nights left before
  5. summer. Brutal Deluxe's "The Tinies" (File 22421)
  6. is the talk of the town! This easy to play, yet
  7. challenging game for the IIgs will keep you
  8. entertained for hours!

  10. You'll blink as 3200-color screens introduce each
  11. of its 10 levels, each level containing 10 rooms.
  12. Great graphics (done by Olivier Bailly-Maitre,
  13. former FTA member) are supported by superb sounds,
  14. and patches are supplied to allow other music to be
  15. played as well. Passwords necessary to complete
  16. each level are provided separately (compliments of
  17. Ken Lucke), and our thanks go to Brian Tao for
  18. uploading the game itself.

  33. Multi-User Games

  35. If you're into running multi-user games, try the
  36. newest gaming addition to the A2 Software Library,
  37. The Complex II in File 22574. This large archive
  38. (a hard drive or big ram disk is required)
  39. contains a multi-user online gaming system hosted
  40. on a IIgs. Included with the archive are terminal
  41. programs for the IIe, IIgs, and Macintosh that
  42. support cool sound and graphics. Other emulations
  43. may access the host program, but special graphics
  44. and sound for other platforms are not supported.
  45. This 1.2MB file contains everything a sysop needs
  46. to get started!

  48. Other Recommended Files

  50. Many other fine games are available in the A2
  51. Library. Examples include SPACE.ARROW.BXY (File
  52. 19076), an update of the popular one or two player
  53. space battle game with built-in Artificial
  54. Intelligence to make things interesting. If you get
  55. your kicks from martial arts, check out SENSEI.BXY
  56. (File 17890), a full-fledged Karate game.

  58. While many of the newest games are for the IIgs,
  59. owners of 8-bit Apples should not despair; we have
  60. plenty of games for you, too.

  62. A2's Lost Classics program has rescued Bill Budge's
  63. classic pinball game, Raster Blaster (File 21131
  64. RASTER.BLAST.BXY), which has been updated to run
  65. under ProDOS 8 and even on the Apple IIgs from your
  66. hard drive. Lost Classics also rescued Budge's
  67. Tranquility Base (File 21128). And while you're
  68. reminiscing, check out BEST.GAMES.BXY (File 17356),
  69. an entire 800K disk of 8-bit games.

  73. If you need extra lives, would like to turn the
  74. clock off in The Tinies, or want other game help,
  75. Nathan Mates' GameHacker CDA v1.4 (File 22470) for
  76. the IIgs is highly recommended by our own Lunatic
  77. E'Sex. The GameHacker CDA currently supports 29
  78. games and the A2 archive contains the source code
  79. to the program.

  90. game for all Apple IIs, Legend of the Three
  91. Kingdoms (Files 20182, 20183, 20184) by Steven
  92. Swanson of SJS Software. This excellent shareware
  93. adventure game uses hi-res maps with text
  94. descriptions and player interface.
