Jaime is ten and a half years old. He attends school in Tonbridge, Kent, in England, where he has won both a music and a choral scholarship, and sings treble in the Chapel Choir. His school music director is Hilary Davan Whetton, chief conductor of the Wren Orchestra of London.
Jaime has sung in choral works, including masses and requiems, and taken part in a concert to mark the tercentenary of the death of the composer Purcell. In 1995 he also sang in a contemporary piece, commissioned for the rededication of his school chapel and broadcast on Classic FM radio. As well as playing the piano, he enjoys singing jazz and blues music, and playing the french horn in the school orchestra.
He is already accustomed to singing in French, German and Italian, as well as studying the Latin which is used in plainsong.
Currently, Jaime is preparing the part of Hansel in Humperdinck's opera, Hansel and Gretel. This will be his first dramatic r├┤le.
