The Slack Space sensor has detected a high level of slack space on a hard disk. This means there is a significant amount of wasted space on this drive.
Slack space is any extra space the operating system reserves for files that is not actually used for file data storage. There are several ways to reduce slack space: Convert your disk to Microsoft's newer FAT32 file system, which can use smaller cluster sizes, repartition your disk into multiple smaller drives, or use disk compression software like Microsoft's DriveSpace.
The trigger level for this sensor's alarm determines what Norton System Doctor considers a "high" level of slack. To change the trigger level, click Change Alarm Settings.
