The DOS Memory sensor has detected a low level of available DOS (conventional) memory. This can prevent applications designed to run under Windows 3.x from running.
Real-mode drivers use DOS memory. These are loaded from the AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS files. Consider removing any such drivers you don't need. For example, you can remove a real-mode mouse driver, which is unnecessary under 32-bit versions of Windows.
If you are using a high-resolution video mode or if you are using a Windows 3.1 video driver, the driver may be using a large amount of DOS memory. Try switching to a lower resolution to free up some DOS memory.
If you are using a real-mode network driver, first try using the Windows protected-mode network driver instead. If this does not work, try using the XMS version of the network driver, which is not loaded in conventional (DOS) memory.
The trigger level for this sensor's alarm determines what Norton System Doctor considers a "low" level of memory. To change the trigger level, click Change Alarm Settings.
