Tweak UI 98
This software is distributed with Microsoft's permission. Microsoft does not
support any versions of Tweak UI on any versions of Windows. Use it at your own
risk.
The files accompanying this note install the Windows 98 version of Tweak UI,
which is distributed on the original Windows 98 Upgrade retail CD in the
\Tools\Reskit\Powertoy folder. They were designed to work with Windows 98.
While we suspect that this Windows 98 version of Tweak UI may run better on a
Windows 95 machine that has the full Windows 98 look via the Windows Desktup
Update option installed with Internet Explorer 4.0, that has not been thoroughly
tested.
If you are running Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0: Unless you have had problems
with Tweak UI 1.1, we recommend that you install it instead. You can download
Tweak UI 1.1 for Windows 95 and NT from this Microsoft Web page:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/contents/PowerToys/W95TweakUI/
SETUP:
The TWEKUI98.EXE file is a self-extracting zip file. When you run it, it creates the
powertoy folder in your C:\Windows\Temp folder and places the installation files
there. Follow the setup steps in the accompanying readme.txt file to install Tweak
UI 98.
For more help with Tweak UI, read Microsoft's instructions below, and search for
"tweakui" on our Web site: http://www.winmag.com/
Please open and read Microsoft's brief readme.txt file.
