  16. Before installing Screen Rip32, make sure your computer meets these
  17. minimum requirements:
  18.  
  19.  - 486 processor
  20.  - Windows 95/98/NT operating system
  21.  - 1 MB free hard disk space
  22.

  27. There are three files associated with Screen Rip32:
  28.  
  29.  - srip32.zip: a compressed file containing srip32.exe
  30.  - sriphelp.chm: an online help file
  31.  - ReadMe.txt: the file that you are reading
  32.  
  33. To install and run Screen Rip32, you decompress the file named 
  34. srip32.zip to a folder and run the executable file.
  35.  
  36.  
  37. *Opening the Compressed File with WinZip*
  38.  
  39. The Screen Rip32 file is compressed for faster downloading and must be 
  40. decompressed with WinZip before use.
  41.  
  42. To open the compressed file:
  43.  
  44. 1. Double-click the srip32.zip file.
  45.    WinZip is activated. The WinZip License Agreement appears.
  46.  
  47. 2. To proceed with the extraction process, click I Agree.
  48.    The WinZip window appears displaying the file named SRip32.exe.
  49.  
  50. 3. Click Extract. 
  51.    The Extract window appears.
  52.  
  53. 4. In the Folders/drives box, choose the destination folder.
  54.  
  55. 5. Click Extract. 
  56.    The file is decompressed to the chosen folder. 
  57.    You can delete the compressed file.

  60. *Running Screen Rip32*
  61.  
  62. Screen Rip32 consists of one 507KB executable file named SRip32.exe. 
  63.  
  64. To run Screen Rip32:
  65.  
  66.  - Double-click the Screen Rip32 executable file.
  67.    The Screen Rip32 window appears, ready for use. 
  68.    Refer to the online help for information on using Screen Rip32.

  71. *Running the Online Help File*
  72.  
  73. sriphelp.chm is an HTML Help file. It provides you with:
  74.  
  75.  - An overview of the Screen Rip32's features
  76.  - Procedures for each of the commands and configurations
  77.  - A Glossary
  78.  - An Index
  79.  - A search tool
  80.  
  81. The help file is linked to the Help menu in the main Screen Rip32
  82. window.  Please keep in mind that this file and the Screen Rip32
  83. executable must be in the same directory.

  87.  - Double-click the sriphelp.chm file.
  88.    The Screen Rip32 Help window appears, ready for use.

  97.     3. Known Bugs

  99. This is a beta version of Screen Rip32 1.0. Some features do not work 
  100. yet, and some may produce poor quality images. The first real release 
  101. will be fully functional.

  104. *Non-Working Features*

  106. The following features do not work:

  108.  - Printing: you must print your images using another application.
  109.  
  110.  
  111. *Imperfect Features*
  112.  
  113. There are some subtle and inconsistent bugs. The following features 
  114. are known to contain some bugs: 
  115.  
  116.  - GIF Animation
  117.  - Image Duplication
  118.  - Color Reduction
  119.  
  120. True dithering algorithms were not implemented in the beta release. 
  121. Color reduction and image duplication may not be exact.  
  122.
