  7. Thank you for your interest in Funduc Software's Explorer 
  8. Extensions! 
  9.  
  10. To install Explorer Extensions, follow the instructions below.  
  11. You may also download a self-installing version of Explorer 
  12. Extensions shareware from our web site, http://www.funduc.com.  
  13. The self-install version will install the program into the 
  14. directory of your choice and create an uninstall option.

  17. Win95/98/NT Installation:
  18. -------------------------

  20. 1 - Unzip Fsexpext.dll, Fsexpext.hlp, order.txt, readme.txt, and 
  21. fsexpext.reg into the subdirectory of your choice.  We suggest 
  22. using 
  23.      c:\tools\fsexpext 
  24. although any subdirectory will do. 
  25.  
  26. 2 - To enable the Explorer shell extension you will need to merge
  27. the file, fsexpext.reg, into the Windows registry.  If you used
  28. c:\tools\fsexpext as the subdirectory in step 1, fsexpext.reg can be
  29. merged as is.  To do this, open an Explorer view of
  30. c:\tools\fsexpext, right click on fsexpext.reg, and select "Merge".

  32. If you used another subdirectory or path in step 1, you will need to
  33. edit fsexpext.reg before merging it into the registry.  Open
  34. fsexpext.reg with a text editor such as notepad.exe and adjust all
  35. lines containing the string C:\\tools\\fsexpext\\ to the
  36. subdirectory you installed the program into.  Note that you must
  37. double the \ characters.  For example, if you unpacked the archive
  38. into the subdirectory d:\funduc\ee you would replace all instances
  39. of C:\\tools\\fsexpext\\ with d:\\funduc\\ee\\.  Once you have
  40. finished editing fsexpext.reg, merge it into the registry as
  41. described above.

  43. 3 - That's it.  On some computers you may need to close any open
  44. Explorer folder/file views and reopen them to activate the
  45. extensions.  In most cases, however, you can begin using them right
  46. away by right clicking on a file or folder.
