Funduc Software's Explorer Extensions (Version 2.40) Funduc Software, Inc. http://www.funduc.com/ Thank you for your interest in Funduc Software's Explorer Extensions! To install Explorer Extensions, follow the instructions below. You may also download a self-installing version of Explorer Extensions shareware from our web site, http://www.funduc.com. The self-install version will install the program into the directory of your choice and create an uninstall option. Win95/98/NT Installation: ------------------------- 1 - Unzip Fsexpext.dll, Fsexpext.hlp, order.txt, readme.txt, and fsexpext.reg into the subdirectory of your choice. We suggest using c:\tools\fsexpext although any subdirectory will do. 2 - To enable the Explorer shell extension you will need to merge the file, fsexpext.reg, into the Windows registry. If you used c:\tools\fsexpext as the subdirectory in step 1, fsexpext.reg can be merged as is. To do this, open an Explorer view of c:\tools\fsexpext, right click on fsexpext.reg, and select "Merge". If you used another subdirectory or path in step 1, you will need to edit fsexpext.reg before merging it into the registry. Open fsexpext.reg with a text editor such as notepad.exe and adjust all lines containing the string C:\\tools\\fsexpext\\ to the subdirectory you installed the program into. Note that you must double the \ characters. For example, if you unpacked the archive into the subdirectory d:\funduc\ee you would replace all instances of C:\\tools\\fsexpext\\ with d:\\funduc\\ee\\. Once you have finished editing fsexpext.reg, merge it into the registry as described above. 3 - That's it. On some computers you may need to close any open Explorer folder/file views and reopen them to activate the extensions. In most cases, however, you can begin using them right away by right clicking on a file or folder.
