  68. BCM Diagnostics is a Win95 based program which helps you diagnose
  69. problems of your PC running Microsoft Windows 95 operation system.
  70. It includes System Info, Processor Test, Memory Test, Audio Test,
  71. Video Test, Modem Test, Graphics Test, Harddisk Test, Floppy Test,
  72. CD-ROM Test, and Stress Test.  It also has a Resource Monitor and
  73. shortcuts to Microsoft Mouse, Joystick, and ScanDisk.  BCMDIAG.EXE,
  74. the DOS based diagnostics utility, is also included.

  76. Notes:

  78. 1. DOS Diagnostics will not start properly if BCM Diagnostics for
  79. Windows 95 is installed in compressed drive.
  80. 2. Floppy Test requires a blank floppy disk.
  81. 3. CD-ROM Test requires a CD which has one file bigger than 5 MB.
  82.    Full-Stroke Access Time test requires a CD with at least 500 MB
  83.    data on it.
  84. 4. Stress Test requires at least 40 MB free harddisk space. DirectDraw
  85.    in Graphics Test is disabled in Stress Test.
  86. 5. test.mpg (for video test module) does not generate sound output.
  87. 6. A link to Hardware System Health Monitor is included.  It will work
  88.    only if Hardware System Heealth Monitor is installed and the LM78
  89.    is present on the system.  The setup for Hardware System Health
  90.    Monitor is on Disk #4.
  91. 7. Installation program supplies an option to install LM78 driver
  92.    for you. If you would rather install the driver by yourself,
  93.    please follow the steps to install the driver.

  95.    To install LM78 driver on Windows 95:(Please do not install Hardware
  96.    Health Monitor if your system board do not have a LM78 or compatible
  97.    sensor chip)

  99.    a. Copy HSYSMON.VXD to .\system directory under Windows 95 directory

  101.    To install LM78 driver on Windows NT:

  103.    From a MS-DOS window:
  104.    a. Copy HSMPORT.SYS to .\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS directory under yours
  105.       windows NT directory.  (e.g. c:\winnt\system32\drivers\hsmport.sys)

  107.    b. run "REGINI HSMPORT.INI".

  109.    c. Close all programs and reboot the system.

  111. 8. Installation program doesn't check existing installation of BCM
  112.    Hardware System Health Monitor. Please uninstall the existing
  113.    copy before install a new copy.

  115.    To uninstall BCM Diagnostics:

  117.    a. Double click on the Add/Remove Programs icon from Control Panel.
  118.    b. Select "BCM Diagnostics" entry from the installed software list.
  119.    c. Click on "Add/Remove" button.
  120.    d. Click on "Yes" button when prompted for confirmation.

  122.    To uninstall BCM Hardware System Health Monitor:

  124.    a. Double click on the Add/Remove Programs icon from Control Panel.
  125.    b. Select "BCM Hardware Monitor" entry from the installed software
  126.       list.

  141.    c. From "Registry Editor", delete the key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System
