  11. Installation

  13.      POPIt now uses InstallShield to automate the installation process. 
  14.      Simply extract the SETUP.EXE file from the POPIT.ZIP, and
  15.      double click it to start the Installation Wizard. 
  16.  
  17.      Once the installation is complete, the following files will be in the folder that you
  18.      designated for POPIt:
  19.  
  20.         popit.exe
  21.                        The application.
  22.         piicon.dll
  23.                        Custom icon resource file that POPIt requires.
  24.         call32.dll
  25.                        A public domain library by Don Bradner to interface a 16bit
  26.                        application into Win95 and NT 4.0.
  27.         cswskctl.vbx
  28.                        A freeware library from Catalyst Software for winsock control.
  29.         msghook.vbx
  30.                        A freeware library from ActiveXpert for intercepting windows
  31.                        messages.
  32.         vbio.vbx
  33.                        A freeware library by SheAr Software for reading the hard-drive
  34.                        serial number (for registration protection).
  35.         uucode16.dll
  36.                        Public Domain UUEncode / Decode library for encoding attachments.
  37.         spamlist.PPI
  38.                        Productive Programming supplied list of known spammers.

  61. Un-Installation

  63. File Removal:
  64.  
  65.      To remove POPIT from your system, simply open Control Panel and selected Add /
  66.      Remove Software, and select "POPIt Mail Notifier PLUS!".  The unistall wizard will
  67.      remove POPIt from your PC. 
  68.      You can also manually delete the files and the folder where POPIT currently resides. 
  69.      No other hidden files are on the system.

  71. Registry Parameters:
  72.  
  73.      POPIT uses the system Registry to store its configuration information. Because of the
  74.      volitile nature of manually removing items from the Registry, it is recomended that that
  75.      you leave the POPIt  information in the Registry to avoid accidentally damaging it.

  77.      If you "must" remove the Registry information, then carefully delete everything under the
  78.      key:

  80.      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Productive Programming Inc.\POPIt Mail Notifier PLUS!

  84.      If you would be kind enough to email me with the reason that you unistalled POPIt I
  85.      would be most appreciative.  The Email Notification Utility business is a compedative
  86.      one, and you feedback is used in future improvements to POPIt.
