  1. HOW TO REMOVE VoRTeX(TM) FROM YOUR SYSTEM

  4. We are sorry this program doesn't meet your needs at this time.
  5. Here is what you do to get rid of it:
  6.  
  7. The files originally installed on your hard disk were:
  8.  
  9.      PLAY.EXE     - 284672 bytes
  10.      PLAY.HLP     -  26616 bytes
  11.      README.TXT   -   3581 bytes
  12.      WARRANTY.TXT -   1964 bytes
  13.      VORTXRMV.TXT -   2130 bytes
  14.  
  15. All these files should be together in the directory in which they
  16. were installed.  The default installation directory is "C:\VORTEX95",
  17. but any directory could have been used.  If you are unsure where they
  18. are located, choose "Find.." from the START menu and
  19. enter "PLAY.EXE" as the file name to search for.  Choose the root
  20. directory of the installation drive (most commonly "C:\") and choose
  21. to search all sub-directories.  When you locate the files simply 
  22. delete them.

  24. Also delete,  C:\windows\vortex.ini file in your windows directory.
  25.  
  26. If you installed VoRTeX in it's own folder or directory, that is, by
  27. itself, you need only delete that folder or directory.
  28.  
  29. VoRTeX does not modify your CONFIG.sys or AUTOEXEC.bat files, nor modify
  30. any Windows INI files, nor does it change any
  31. File Manager or Registry associations.

  33. Please pass your unregistered installation disk along to someone else...
  34. May be they would like the game too! (and the author can use the 
  35. registration fees!)
