  34. Introduction:

  36. This shareware version contains all the features of a registered version.
  37. This version has a 30 days evaluation restriction.

  39. 1. PageFocus contains two programs:
  40.         PFOCUS.EXE      This is the main PageFocus program.  Use this for
  41.                         creating and designing drawings, forms, documents,
  42.                         catalogs, etc.

  44.         EX.EXE          This is the run-time program.  Use this to create
  45.                         database and form applications.
  46.                         Or use it as a viewer for browsing PageFocus files.

  48. 2. This package does not include printed manuals.  The help files and
  49.    a brief user guide, USEGUIDE.PF, which is a PageFocus File, provide
  50.    all the information you need to run the programs.  We suggest that you
  51.    open USEGUIDE.PF with EX.EXE and read it.
  52.    Another file, TIPS.PF, is useful for seeking frequently asked questions.

  54. 3. Minimum system requirements:
  55.    486 PC, VGA, Mouse. (Pentium class and and Super VGA or up preferred)
  56.    Windows 3.1, Windows 95.
  57.  
  58.    The package require approximately 5M bytes of disk space.
  59.  
  60. 4. The button bars described in PageFocus help file are based on a super-VGA
  61.    screen mode.  If your monitor is running on VGA mode, the button bar will be
  62.    slightly different from those described in the help files.
  63.    However, this should not affect the use of PageFocus because all the
  64.    button commands are available from command menus.

  69. A. Copyright
  70.    PageFocus is a copyrighted software.  This version is a shareware,
  71.    not a freeware.

  73. B. Evaluation period
  74.    The evaluation period is 30 days following your installation.
  75.    If you do not register after the evaluation period, you must
  76.    remove all the files related to PageFocus from your computer.
  77.    Any use of the package after the 30-day period without registering
  78.    with the Creative Stars is a violation of this use agreement.
  79.    PageFocus will eventually quit working if a violation of the
  80.    use agreement occurs.

  82.    If you had used a previous version of PageFocus shareware and
  83.    it expired without registration, please remove it entirely
  84.    (including all the files created with it) before trying out
  85.    the new version.  If you want to be able to use the old files created by
  86.    an old shareware version, you will need a registered version.

  88.    If you have a registered version, then you can safely try out this new
  89.    shareware version.  However, we suggest that you install this version in a
  90.    new directory.

  92.    This new version will read all the files of the previous versions.  But
  93.    the previous versions will not be able to read some of the files created
  94.    with this new version.

  97.    PageFocus uses your system time to check the integrity and cross-referencing
  98.    of forms and databases.  We suggest that you maintain
  99.    a consistent date and time for your system.  Time accuracy is not
  100.    critical, but a correct system date is essential.

  145. To find the new features in this version, use PageFocus or EX to
  146. open the WHATSNEW.PF file which is located in the install directory.

  150. Install/Uninstall

  152. If you have a registered version, please save you old version, or install
  153. this new version into a new directory.

  155. If you have an existing shareware version, you must remove all the old
  156. version before installing this new version.

  158. After unzipping the zip file, install PageFocus by running the
  159. install program (INSTALL.EXE). PageFocus package does not modify your win.ini
  160. file or other files (such as config.sys or autoexec.bat files).

  162. Uninstall is easy!
  163. If you want to remove (uninstall) PageFocus, simply remove the
  164. installed PageFocus directory and an initialization files,
  165. PFOCUS.INI, located in your Windows directory.
