  6. What to do with this CD:
  7.      
  8.      If avast! is not installed:
  9.      
  10.      Installation of AVAST! program for MS-DOS a Windows 3.11:
  11.      Run INSTALL.BAT file and follow the on-screen instructions.
  12.      
  13.      Installation of AVAST32 program for Windows 95 and Windows NT:
  14.      1) If Adobe Acrobat Reader is not installed, install it now.
  15.         Installation file AR32E30.EXE can be found in ACROWIN directory.
  16.         Run this file and finish the installation.
  17.      2) Run INSTALL.BAT file and follow the on-screen instructions.

  88.      AVAST32:

  90.      Sending messages in Windows and via Internet:
  91.      It is not necessary to run extra programs for messaging in Windows NT.
  92.      Message recipient must have WINPOPUP program running in Windows 95.
  93.      Sender must have installed SMAPI support (e.g. MS Outlook or Eudora)
  94.      for sending messages via Internet.

  96.      What is Service Pack?
  97.      Service pack is short installation in case you have already
  98.      installed previous version. Service Pack keeps your settings,
  99.      full install sets everything with default values. To install
  100.      Service Pack run INSTALL.BAT file and follow the on-screen
  101.      instructions. Within the installation program choose Service pack 
  102.      (changes only) in installation type selection.
  103.      
  104.      What is the Acrobat?
  105.      Adobe Acrobat is the document viewer. You can find it on our CD in
  106.      the ACROWIN directory. The installation file is called
  107.      AR32E30.EXE. You can install it either before or after the AVAST32
  108.      installation. Never install both products in the same time!
  109.      
  110.      The Help window does not appear
  111.      Check if the internal help is activated.
  112.      (Options/Main Console/Basic/Activate internal help)
  113.      If the internal help is activated and help does not appear try press
  114.      F1 key to get AVAST32 help window
  115.      
  116.      I don't know how to run resident scanner.
  117.      Switch to enhanced UI. Right-click on Resident: full protection
  118.      configuration, select Modify and check Run with the operating
  119.      system box. Then restart computer. New AVAST32 version enables
  120.      resident protection automatically after its installation
  121.      
  122.      When resident scanner is running, it is not possible to print or fax
  123.      This bug has been fixed. Please install new version.
  124.      
  125.      I can't remove macroviruses. Only resident control finds them.
  126.      You need to install new version where scanner has bigger priority
  127.      than resident protection.

  129.      After finding a virus and restarting the computer there is some
  130.      strange window that can't be closed.
  131.      Uncheck "Show Virus Warning on user log on" check box and restart
  132.      the computer. This can be set up from menu "Customize/Enhanced
  133.      Settings" in older version and menu "Options/Common/Basic"
  134.      in new version.

  136.      When I right click shortcut and run Avast check, the program will
  137.      fail
  138.      You need new version or you can rename AVSHEX.DLL to prevent this
  139.      failure but you will not be able to scan files via right mouse
  140.      click.

  142.      I don't know how to switch from enhanced UI back to simple UI.
  143.      Right-click in Customize and select Simple GUI.

  145.      The message about missing export in MFC42.DLL appears.
  146.      Some installation overwrote MFC42.DLL file with older version. You can
  147.      try to rename MFC42.DLL and MSVCRT.DLL and install AVAST32 again.

  149.      The message containing  [FFFFFFFF] appears.
  150.      The reason is currently unknown.

  152.      When resident protection is running in Windows NT computer freezes
  153.      into blue screen.
  154.      You need to install new version of AVAST32.

  156.      It is not possible to enter the serial number during the
  157.      installation process.
  158.      Do not enter any number and finish installation as DEMO version and
  159.      then run AVAST and enter the correct serial number in Settings/License
  160.      box. This can be set up from menu "Settings/License box" in older
  161.      version and menu "Options/License" in new version.
  162.      (There is a new serial number since September so contact your
  163.      vendor to get new number)

  165.      Avast!:

  167.      LGUARD scanner in  DOS shows message about insufficient memory.
  168.      Youn need to install new version of AVAST which has less memory
  169.      requirements. You can also try to run LGUARD from command line and
  170.      not from AVAST shell.

  172.      Incorrect serial number is displayed during the installation. When
  173.      scanner is running during the installation it is displayed that it 
  174.      is only a DEMO although the serial number has been accepted.
  175.      The correct serial number will be shown when AVAST is started from
  176.      hard disk so after successful installation.
