  5. This program is provided free as a service from Penguin Software.  It's 
  6. purpose is to allow importing Crossword puzzle data from various sources 
  7. into the XWord program so they can travel with you on your Pilot.
  8. It does this by converting the various format files into .pdb files
  9. which can then be loaded onto the Pilot.
  10.  
  11. Please note that this program is not supported by any of the companies
  12. listed below and it attempts to interpret the proprietary format of the file.
  13. This interpretation could be incomplete or incorrect, and any of the formats
  14. could change without notice.  I will attempt to keep them up to date
  15. but be aware that any of these could fail without warning.
  16. Because of this, this program comes with no warantee or guarantee of
  17. of usefulness.  It is provided free and unsupported and is not directly 
  18. connected with the XWord program.

  35. To run the program from the DOS prompt simply run:

  37.     for USA Today and NYTimes:
  38.         puz2pil FILENAME.puz   
  39.     for Crossword Express:
  40.         puz2pil FILENAME.cwe
  41.     for London Times:
  42.         puz2pil FILENAME.htm

  44.     (Replace 'FILENAME' with the name of the puzzle file you are converting)
  45.  
  46.     This will create a file called FILENAME.pdb.  You can then use the
  47.     instapp program to install this file on your pilot, and the next time
  48.     you run XWord, it will be shown in the list of available puzzles.

  50.     For USA Today puzzles, the title of the puzzle will display, and for
  51.     CWE puzzles, the FILENAME will show in the list.
