  7. JacksOrBetter is a video poker simulator for Palm OS-based personal
  8. digital assistants, including models from Palm, Handspring, TRG, and
  9. Sony.

  30. INSTALLATION
  31.  
  32. If you are have Palm Desktop on Windows, simply double-click the
  33. JacksOrBetter.prc program icon, and then the program will be installed
  34. the next time you HotSync your PDA.
  35.  
  36. For other operating systems, read the appropriate documentation for
  37. the desktop software you use to HotSync with your PDA.

  40. HOW TO PLAY
  41.  
  42. The game follows the rules of Five Card Draw poker.  You are dealt
  43. five cards.  You choose which of these five cards you want to hold,
  44. and which you want to discard. You then "draw" new cards to replace
  45. those you have discarded.  After the draw, you receive a payout based
  46. upon the score of your hand.
  47.  
  48. You start with 100 chips.  Each hand costs 5 chips to play.  The
  49. payouts for winning hands are as follows:

  51.  Pair of Jacks or Better: 5
  52.  Two Pair:                10
  53.  Three of a Kind:         15
  54.  Straight:                20
  55.  Flush:                   30
  56.  Full House:              45
  57.  Four of a Kind:          125
  58.  Straight Flush:          250
  59.  Royal Flush:             4000

  61. You can use the "Payouts" button in the game to see this chart.

  63. When you run out of chips, you may begin a new game.

  65. The Statistics command, located on the Options menu, will display the
  66. number of hands and games that you have played.
