  39. Installation Instructions

  42.  ESW Software Cobra 3.0 can be installed and should run on the following platforms:
  43.   WindowsCE
  44.   PalmOS
  45.   Windows95/98/Me/NT/2000
  46.   Internet Browser: any Java capable Internet Browser
  47.   Java Platform: any other Java capable system, such as Linux and generic Unix systems

  52.  Install Waba Virtual Machine for your device CPU, MIPS or SH3, using the
  53.  files and instructions contained in wabavm-wince-mips.10.zip or
  54.  wabavm-wince-sh3.10.zip files.
  55.  
  56.  On your WindowsCE device create "\Program Files\Cobra" directory. Copy
  57.  "Cobra.prc" file to this directory. Copy the "Cobra.lnk" file to
  58.  "\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Games" directory.

  60.  Start ESW Software Cobra 3.0 from the device "Start\Programs\Games" menu.

  62. PalmOS Installation Instructions

  65.  Install Waba Virtual Machine for your device using the files and instructions
  66.  contained in wabavm-palm.10b.zip file.

  68.  Install Cobra.prc and Cobra.pdb files using the Pilot install tool that comes
  69.  as part of the Pilot desktop.

  71.  To start ESW Software Cobra 3.0, press the Applications button to look at the
  72.  list of installed programs. Clicking on the Cobra application will start the game.

  74. Windows95/98/Me/NT/2000 Installation Instructions

  77.  Copy Cobra.zip, Cobra.bat and CobraWin.lnk to any directory.

  79.  To start ESW Software Cobra 3.0, run CobraCE.bat or CobraPalm.Bat, or double-click
  80.  on CobraCE or CobraPalm shortcuts.

  85.  Copy Cobra.zip and Cobra.htm files to any directory or your Web site.

  89.  WARNING: due to Java applet security features, game options and scores will
  90.   be reset if you reload the game page.

  106.  Game playing instructions can be found on Cobra.htm file.

  108. Known Problems
  109. --------------

  111.  Some applications set a value to the environment variable CLASSPATH, if this
  112.  happens you may not be able to run the game from command line or browser. Try
  113.  to use CobraCE.bat or CobraPalm.bat, where a SET CLASSPATH= statement was
  114.  added to clear CLASSPATH valiable or clear it yourself.
  115.  
  116.  On some versions of Sun java runtime, the keyboard presses are not catched by
  117.  the game, try to upgrade your version or use Microsoft jview.

  119. Tested Configurations

  122.  The game was tested on WindowsCE 2.11 (Compaq Aero 2130 device),
  123.  PalmOS 3.1.1 (3Com Palm IIIe), Windows98, WindowsME, WindowsNT 4.0, Microsoft
  124.  Internet Explorer 5.0 and 5.5 and Netscape Communicator 4.7 .
