  13. MagIndex is a Magazine Data base program. Designed to keep track
  14. of magazine, bulletins, etc. so you can utilize the power of the
  15. computer to quickly locate a source of information.
  16.  
  17. By indexing your magazines you will find yourself saving hours
  18. of having to manualy search each and every issue you own for a
  19. particlular article.
  20.  
  21. With the included Notes function, you can use your scanner to
  22. acually read in the text of the article. This will save you even
  23. more time in the future, and space on your bookshelf.
  24.  
  25. The Demo version you have obtained needs only a personalized code key
  26. to unlock the program. Without the code key ALL FUNCTIONS WORK, except
  27. you will be restricted to saving only the first 20 records.

  29. And now, The installation instructions...
  30.  
  31.                      * * *    DON'T PANIC.   * * *
  32.  
  33. These instructions may look complicated, but they are not.
  34.  
  35. You may want to print this file so you can refer to it during installation.
  36.  
  37. -For you to be reading this file, We can assume you have already
  38.  unzipped the file MAG16.ZIP.
  39.  
  40. -Using windows FILEMANAGER, create a new subdirectory for MagIndex:
  41.         -Start FILEMANAGER;
  42.         -Click on "File";
  43.         -Click on "Create Directory..."
  44.         -in the box provided, enter the full drive and path of the new
  45.          directory. Example: C:\MAGINDEX
  46.         -Click on "OK";
  47.  
  48. -Close FILEMANAGER.
  49.  
  50. -Double Click on the DOS icon to get to a dos prompt.
  51.  
  52. -Copy the file BLOSSOM.EXE to the newly created directory.
  53.  
  54.    Example: COPY  C:\CSERVE\DOWNLOAD\BLOSSOM.EXE  C:\MAGINDEX\BLOSSOM.EXE
  55.  
  56. -Change to the new directory.
  57.  
  58.    Example:   CD C:\MAGINDEX       (press ENTER key)
  59.  
  60. -Run the program BLOSSOM.EXE by typing BLOSSOM and pressing the enter key.
  61.    The program will unpack the MagIndex files.
  62.  
  63. -Return to windows. Type EXIT and press the ENTER key.
  64.  
  65. -Create a new program item for MagIndex.
  66.       -On the Program Manager screen, click on "File";
  67.       -Click on "New"
  68.       -Click on the "Program Item" round button;
  69.       -Click on "OK"
  70.       -Enter the requested information on the screen.
  71.          -Description:  MagIndex Ver 1.6
  72.          -Command Line:  C:\MAGINDEX\MAGINDEX.EXE
  73.          -Working Directory: C:\MAGINDEX
  74.          -Click on "OK".
