MagIndex is a Magazine Data base program. Designed to keep track
of magazine, bulletins, etc. so you can utilize the power of the
computer to quickly locate a source of information.

By indexing your magazines you will find yourself saving hours
of having to manualy search each and every issue you own for a
particlular article.

With the included Notes function, you can use your scanner to
acually read in the text of the article. This will save you even
more time in the future, and space on your bookshelf.

The Demo version you have obtained needs only a personalized code key
to unlock the program. Without the code key ALL FUNCTIONS WORK, except
you will be restricted to saving only the first 20 records.

And now, The installation instructions...

                     * * *    DON'T PANIC.   * * *

These instructions may look complicated, but they are not.

You may want to print this file so you can refer to it during installation.

-For you to be reading this file, We can assume you have already
 unzipped the file MAG16.ZIP.

-Using windows FILEMANAGER, create a new subdirectory for MagIndex:
        -Start FILEMANAGER;
        -Click on "File";
        -Click on "Create Directory..."
        -in the box provided, enter the full drive and path of the new
         directory. Example: C:\MAGINDEX
        -Click on "OK";

-Close FILEMANAGER.

-Double Click on the DOS icon to get to a dos prompt.

-Copy the file BLOSSOM.EXE to the newly created directory.

   Example: COPY  C:\CSERVE\DOWNLOAD\BLOSSOM.EXE  C:\MAGINDEX\BLOSSOM.EXE

-Change to the new directory.

   Example:   CD C:\MAGINDEX       (press ENTER key)

-Run the program BLOSSOM.EXE by typing BLOSSOM and pressing the enter key.
   The program will unpack the MagIndex files.

-Return to windows. Type EXIT and press the ENTER key.

-Create a new program item for MagIndex.
      -On the Program Manager screen, click on "File";
      -Click on "New"
      -Click on the "Program Item" round button;
      -Click on "OK"
      -Enter the requested information on the screen.
         -Description:  MagIndex Ver 1.6
         -Command Line:  C:\MAGINDEX\MAGINDEX.EXE
         -Working Directory: C:\MAGINDEX
         -Click on "OK".

-Installation is complete.
