  3. To install the software under Windows NT V3.5.1, follow the instructions
  4. in the Install Guide for installing your software.  To install the hardware,
  5. take a note of the following.

  7. ScanWizard V2.30 now operates under Windows NT 3.5.1 but the Quick Panel and
  8. some other modules still do not operate properly under Windows NT.  
  9. This version only supports the Adaptec ASPI compliant cards.  If you are 
  10. using the Adaptec 1502 card which was shipped with the newer Microtek scanner 
  11. models, all you have to do is install ScanWizard and all the drivers for your 
  12. interface card will be installed automatically.  However, if you are using 
  13. a different model Adaptec ASPI card, you must install the EZ SCSI software 
  14. that came with your interface card in order to be able to use the scanner.

  16. After installing the software on your computer, you may have to use Windows
  17. NT Setup program in the Main group to add support for the Adaptec 1502E 
  18. card.

  20. - Run Windows NT Setup
  21. - Choose Add/Remove SCSI Adapter from the Options menu
  22. - Click on Add
  23. - Select Adaptec 151x/152x/AIC 6260/6360 from the list
  24. - Click Install
  25. - When asked if you want to overwrite the current drivers click Current
  26. - Close the menus and the Setup program
  27. - Shutdown and restart the computer

  29. Using the Adaptec 1502 card, we have experienced problems installing on
  30. computers equiped with the plug and play (PNP) bios when there is another PNP 
  31. card in the computer.  To avoid conflicts, select an interrupt you will be 
  32. using with your Adaptec 1502 card. Go to the setup program of your computer and 
  33. in the PNP section of the setup, tell your computer to reserve this interrupt
  34. for an ISA card.  The reason is to avoid having the bios install this 
  35. interrupt for one of the plug and play cards in your system.  For example, if
  36. you decide to use interrupt 11 for the Adaptec 1502 card, tell the setup that 
  37. interrupt 11 is used for an ISA card.  Then set the 1502 card to interrupt 11
  38. and install it in your computer.

  40. Make sure you do not install the EZ SCSI software on Microtek CD ROM since
  41. this software does not support Windows NT.
