  3. Installation notes.

  5. 1.  HTML Help.  GenesisII uses MicroSoft's new HTML 
  6.     help system.  If you see an error message when 
  7.     accessing help instructing you that you need to 
  8.     update an ocx the necessary file is available 
  9.     from our site at 
  10.     http://www.geomantics.com/download/hhupd.exe
  11.     This 466Kb file was not included to reduce download 
  12.     sizes.  We have had reports of occasional other 
  13.     problems with help - please see the FAQ on our site 
  14.     if you have any difficulties.

  16. 2.  We regularly post updates to our site.  Please check 
  17.     back for newer versions of our software.

  19. 3.  GenesisII Freeware is distributed royalty-free.  All 
  20.     we ask is that if you use any of our images you give 
  21.     us credit - prefably using a link if images are 
  22.     posted on the web

  27. 3.0 Upgrade Notes
  28. As usual there are changes to the project file format.
  29. Files are automatically upgraded on read.  Some changes
  30. are significant - new fractal surfaces and terrains - 
  31. and GenesisII will make sensible choices for mapping
  32. the old data format to the new.

  35. 2.6 Upgrade Notes
  36.  
  37. Again there has been some minor changes to the project 
  38. file format.  GenesisII 2.6 will read project files 
  39. created with earlier versions and save these in the new 
  40. format.  GenesisII now supports 3DS files directly and 
  41. support for the old G3S format is not retained - you 
  42. should reassign existing models.

  44. 2.5 Upgrade Notes
  45.  
  46. The GenesisII project file format has changed.  GenesisII 
  47. 2.5 will read project files created with earlier version 
  48. and will save these in the new format.  However if you 
  49. have vegetation defined the data will be invalid (as it 
  50. will relate to 2D bitmap vegetation) and you must edit 
  51. this using the vegetation editor to use the new 3D 
  52. vegetation.
