  1. FILES IN THE TEMPLATE FOLDER

  6. This README file describes what the other files in the TEMPLATE folder are for.
  7.  
  8. When the Setup program installs DesignWave on your machine, it also makes some
  9. entries in the system registry that give rise to 2 new menu entries on the popup
  10. menu within the Windows Explorer. These entries are:
  11.  
  12.     New -> DesignWave Design
  13.     New -> DesignWave Drawing
  14.  
  15. Each of these commands creates a new file in the current folder. The file created
  16. is a copy of the corresponding master file in the TEMPLATE folder:

  18.     master.cvp    Design master
  19.     master.cvd    Drawing master
  20.  
  21. The files installed for you are empty part and drawing files, just like ones 
  22. produced when you use the New command on the File menu within DesignWave.
  23.  
  24. You might consider editing these files to produce customized templates. For example,
  25. the drawing master might be edited to use a particular format, or the part master
  26. might be edited to give you workplanes and sketches with different names from those
  27. usually offered.

  29. Note that editing these masters will not affect parts and drawings created using the
  30. New command on the File menu inside DesignWave.
