  4. What is Right Clip?
  5. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  6. Right Clip was designed with Windows 95's right mouse button
  7. popup menus for text boxes in mind.  You will see several
  8. text boxes in a small window.  Right-click any text box to
  9. paste a word or phrase from the Windows Clipboard that you
  10. may need later.  Right-click again to either copy the word
  11. or phrase back to the Windows Clipboard.  More text boxes
  12. are available on the other tabs.

  14. Right Clip is handy for text-based chat such as an online
  15. service or IRC.  If you find any other good uses for Right
  16. Clip, please let me know (e-mail address below).

  25. System Requirements
  26. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  27. If you can run Windows 95, Right Clip should work.
  28. Disk Space:  about 20KB  (does not include the VB4 runtime
  29.                           files, which are about 1MB)
  30. Visual Basic 4.0 runtime files (VB40032.dll, etc.)

  32. If you run Windows NT 3.5x or 4.0, please let me know if Right
  33. Clip works, thanks.

  35. Installation
  36. ~~~~~~~~~~~~
  37. Installation is easy, just copy or move RightClp.exe and
  38. RightClp.txt in any directory (such as C:\RightClp, or
  39. your Windows directory).  Create a shortcut to RightClp.exe
  40. and place it in your Startup group if you wish to have it
  41. available automatically when you start your computer.

  43. Uninstallation
  44. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  45. Uninstallation should be simple, delete the RightClp.exe and
  46. RightClp.txt files from wherever you put it and any shortcuts
  47. you may have created.  I didn't put anything in the program
  48. that writes to the Windows Registry so there should not be
  49. anything about Right Clip in there (unless you put something
  50. in there. :)

  52. How to Use Right Clip
  53. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  54. All text boxes in Windows 95 have a menu that pops up when the
  55. right mouse button is clicked.  This menu usually has 6 choices:
  56.  
  57. - Undo             Ctrl+Z
  58. - Cut              Ctrl+X
  59. - Copy             Ctrl+C
  60. - Paste            Ctrl+V
  61. - Delete           Del
  62. - Select all
  63.  
  64. Some of these choices are also available using the keyboard.
  65. The keyboard shortcuts are shown on the right.
  66.  
  67. Right Clip provides a total of 26 text boxes (20 short and 6
  68. long) for storing clips of text.  Use the menu to copy or
  69. paste words, phrases, etc. to and from the Windows Clipboard.
  70. As with any other text box, you can edit the text in them.

  72. Use the close button [X] to close Right Clip.
  73. Hide Right Clip with the minimize button [_].

  110. Why I don't use "Beta" versions
  111. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  112. I have downloaded and used many Windows programs, very few are
  113. considered to be "release" versions.  Programmers are always
  114. adding new features before the previous version finishes the
  115. beta stage and is released.  Also, there is no such thing as
  116. bugfree software, so theoretically all software is still in
  117. beta.  Those are my views, email me if you have a comment.

  119. Anyway, if you find a bug, please let me know what system you
  120. have and be as detailed as possible.  The more info, the easier
  121. it is to diagnose the problem.
