  39. Welcome to the BeJeanie(tm)!  BeJeanie is a powerful point and click 
  40. computer program that is loaded with information and prices on Beanie 
  41. Babies(r) and other cuddly toys.  BeJeanie will help organize your 
  42. collection and transactions, and calculate your collection's value.  It is 
  43. simple enough for an eight year old to enjoy, but sophisticated enough 
  44. for the serious collector.

  46. Please register your software and join Club BeJeanie!  By doing so, you 
  47. can keep your beanie list and prices current with BeJeanie's monthly 
  48. updates.  BeJeanie updates are available to registered users by download 
  49. from the www.bejeanie.com website, or postal mail of update

  125. IV. Installation Instructions from Download:
  126.  
  127. 1.    Located the BeJeanie Program Installation file, BeJe202.exe. 
  128. Double click this file to begin installation.
  129.  
  130. 2.    When asked for your destination directory: Accept the default 
  131. C:\Program Files\BeJeanie directory if you have about 100 Mg free 
  132. in your C Drive.  BeJeanie takes about 25 Mg of your hard drive 
  133. space.

  135. 3.    After installation is completed successfully, click on the lamp icon 
  136. on the desktop, or START... PROGRAMS... BEJEANIE... 
  137. BEJEANIE to begin.  If you do not see the program group, restart 
  138. your computer and you should be able to see the BeJeanie program 
  139. group.

  144. V. Computer Tips on Running BeJeanie
  145.  
  146. 1. If the pictures in the program look blurry, you are running 256K (8 bit) 
  147. color.  From the Windows Task Bar, go to "Start", "Settings", "Control 
  148. Panel" click.  Then click on the "Display" icon, choose the "settings" 
  149. tab.  At the "color palette", choose 16 bit (high color) or 24 bit (true 
  150. color).  Click "OK"
  151.  
  152. 2. If you are using Display setting of 640x480 pixels: To get more 
  153. viewing space, hide the Window's taskbar: right click the Window's 
  154. taskbar, click on "Properties"; Check on "Always on Top" and 
  155. "Autohide".  Click "OK" (Using display setting of 800x600 will solve all 
  156. viewing problems.)

  162. VI. Quick Program Tips
  163.  
  164. 1. Be brave and explore.  Click every button you see and find out what 
  165. they do. 
  166.  
  167. 2. There is a question mark help button on each page.  Click and read 
  168. more tips about that page.

  170. 3. When you move your mouse pointer over a button or an area, there is 
  171. usually a help tip that pops up to tell you what it is or what it will do.
  172.  
  173. 4. At the BeJeanie menu bar, click on BeHelp to see more help 
  174. information.
  175.  
  176. 5. Start in the Nuts page to see all the beanies!  
  177. ╖    Lookup a beanie by choosing from the pull down menu or by 
  178. typing in the first few letters of the beanie name and 
  179. "enter".
  180. ╖    Click on the dollar button to find out how various major beanie 
  181. sources price that beanie.
  182. ╖    Click on the "Pick Beanie" button to view various groups of  
  183. beanies. Use the smaller arrow buttons at the Nuts page 
  184. to move back and forth within your grouping.
  185. 6. Read everything in the Digger page and you will learn a lot about 
  186. Beanie Babies and the BeJeanie software.

  188. 7. The Radar page is the place where you add, delete or edit your 
  189. collection details.  Click on the plus heart button to add to your 
  190. collection.  Click on the trash can button to delete your beanie record 
  191. or beanie transaction  (Hello or Goodbye tabs) records.

  193. 8. How to add beanies to your collection:
  194. ╖    From the Nuts page, choose the beanie you have, click the plus 
  195. heart button. When you say "Yes" and get to the Radar page, 
  196. your beanie is added and saved automatically. 
  197. ╖    From the Radar page, click the plus heart button and choose a 
  198. beanie from the "Add this" drop menu. Your beanie is added 
  199. automatically.
  200. ╖       To get a price for your beanie, you MUST fill in the "Obtained 
  201. from" area and click "OK" at the Hello tab of the Radar 
  202. page.

  204. 9. Click on the Flash button to see the summary of your collection. At 
  205. the Flash page, click the Radar button of that record for any changes 
  206. or deletions.
  207.  
  208. 10. The Bubbles and Spots pages show your beanie collection with 
  209. different details.
  210.  
  211. 11. The Scoop page is where you keep your beanie address book with 
  212. information on stores, traders and friends who you buy, sell or trade 
  213. your beanies.
  214.  
  215. 12. The Ears page shows all the major beanie resources.  Click on the 
  216. Echo button to see the price list from that resource.  When you see a 
  217. website address, click that area and you will be taken to that website 
  218. when you are online.

  220. 13. The magic page shows all the checklists and reports you can print 
  221. out.  Be brave, choose any button and preview what that checklist or 
  222. report looks like.  Click on the printer button to get a printout.

  224. 14. You can register your software at the "Registration" hyperlink at the 
  225. Digger page, or by mail, fax or e-mail at the Happy page.
