<p>What are you having trouble with?</p>
<extend>
<tease>My career hasn't started yet, and so I don't know what to enter.</tease>
<reveal>
<p>For planning purposes, it's fine to guess at your future career in Money:</p>
<ol>
<li>On the <emph>Planner</emph> menu, click <emph>Lifetime Planner</emph>.</li>
<li>In the left pane, click <emph>Income</emph>.</li>
<li>Click <emph>Your Name Career</emph> or <emph>Your Partner's Name Career</emph>.</li>
<li>In the table, click <emph>Start career</emph>, and then click <emph>Edit</emph>.</li>
<li>In the <emph>Starts</emph> box, click an option to specify when you think your career will start, and then click <emph>Finish</emph>.</li>
</ol>
<p>You can associate the start date with any of the events listed or specify a particular date.</p>

<tease>I have income from more than one job.</tease>
<reveal>
<p>You can link all the paychecks you receive to the annual gross salary amount on the <emph>Career</emph> page.</p>
<ol>
<li>On the <emph>Planner</emph> menu, click <emph>Lifetime Planner</emph>.</li>
<li>In the left pane, click <emph>Income</emph>.</li>
<li>Click <emph>Your Name Career</emph> or <emph>Your Partner's Name Career</emph>.</li>
<li>Click <emph>link to your paychecks</emph> if you haven't already, or click <emph>change the link to your paychecks</emph>.</li>
<li>Click <emph>Calculate my salary by adding the paychecks selected below</emph>.</li>
<li>Select all of the paychecks from your jobs, and then click <emph>OK</emph>.</li>
</ol>
<p variant="impt">If you don't see your paychecks listed, it means you haven't yet set up your paychecks on the <emph>Manage scheduled bills and deposits</emph> page. <alink type="prcdr" href="Schedulemypaycheckdeposit.xml"/></p>
</reveal>

<tease>I don't know where to enter my pension or Social Security benefits.</tease>
<reveal>
<p>You enter these on the <emph>Other Income</emph> page. <alink type="prcdr" href="Enterotherincome(notfrommycareer).xml"/></p>

<tease>Money shows that I've retired and no longer earn a salary. However, I still work even though I'm past retirement age.</tease>
<reveal>
<ol>
<li>On the <emph>Planner</emph> menu, click <emph>Lifetime Planner</emph>.</li>
<li>In the left pane, click <emph>Income</emph>.</li>
<li>Click <emph>Your Name Career</emph> or <emph>Your Partner's Name Career</emph>.</li>
<li>In the table, click <emph>End career</emph>, and then click <emph>Edit</emph>.</li>
<li>In the <emph>Ends</emph> box, point to your name, and then click <emph>dies</emph>.</li>
</ol>
<p>This tells Money that you will continue to receive job income for the rest of your life.</p>

<tease>I already entered my paycheck deposit in Money, but it doesn't show up here.</tease>
<reveal>
<p>If you just entered a transaction in the Accounts & Bills area for your paycheck deposit, it won't be reflected on the <emph>Career</emph> page. You must use the <emph>Manage scheduled bills and deposits</emph> page to schedule a recurring deposit for the gross amount of your paycheck. <alink type="prcdr" href="Schedulemypaycheckdeposit.xml"/></p>
<p>Make sure you've specified your salary by clicking <emph>change the link to your paychecks</emph> on the <emph>Career</emph> page. <alink type="prcdr" href="EnterIncomeInformationForMyselfAndMyPartner.xml"/></p>
<p>If you scheduled a recurring deposit for the net value (rather than the gross value) of your paycheck, the deposit won't be reflected on the <emph>Career</emph> page either. You need to edit your scheduled deposit to reflect the gross value of your paycheck. Split the transaction to account for taxes and other withholdings. <alink type="prcdr" href="Schedulemypaycheckdeposit.xml"/></p>

<extend>
<tease>If I set up a recurring (non-salary) deposit on the <emph>Manage scheduled bills and deposits</emph> page, how do I get it to show up on the <emph>Other Income</emph> page?</tease>
<reveal>
<p>Enter it manually on the <emph>Other Income</emph> page in the Lifetime Planner. <alink type="prcdr" href="Enterotherincome(notfrommycareer).xml"/></p>
