  1. SPECIAL RECONNAISSANCE
  2.  
  3. SITUATION: Enemy forces have established an outpost from 
  4. which to launch reconnaissance patrols and conduct ambushes 
  5. against friendly indigenous forces operating in AO BULLDOG.  
  6. Reconnaissance of the outpost must be conducted to determine 
  7. the best method of eliminating the hostile force operating 
  8. there.  
  9.  
  10. ROE:  Rules of Engagement published 14MAR04 are in effect.
  11.  
  12. MISSION: ODA 214 reconnoiters Objective HURRICANE, vicinity 
  13. AH303020 commencing 06 0800Z May 04 to determine enemy 
  14. composition, disposition and strength in order to prepare 
  15. for follow-on offensive operations.
  16.  
  17. ENEMY: Squad-sized element of enemy soldiers supported by 
  18. foreign advisors.   Enemy elements are believed to include 
  19. two armored personnel carriers.
  20.  
  21. TROOPS: Split Team ôAlphaö 574 and Resistance Fire Team.
  22.  
  23. Terrain:  Rolling dunes and hills with hot temperatures.  
  24. Take proper warm weather precautions.

  26. AMBUSH
  27.  
  28. SITUATION: Enemy forces are attempting to locate a friendly 
  29. operating base within AO BULLDOG.  Friendly forces must 
  30. destroy the enemy reconnaissance teams before they can 
  31. identify and report the location of the friendly operating 
  32. base.
  33.  
  34. ROE:  Rules of Engagement published 14MAR04 are in effect.
  35.  
  36. MISSION: ODA 574 attacks Objective HURRICANE, vicinity 
  37. HO303020 commencing 06 0800Z May 04 to destroy enemy forces 
  38. in order to prevent dissemination of intelligence concerning 
  39. the location of the guerilla base.
  40.  
  41. ENEMY: Squad-sized element of enemy soldiers supported by 
  42. foreign advisors.    
  43.  
  44. TROOPS: Split Team ôAlphaö 214 and Resistance Fire Team.
