  7. INFORMATION:   With current revisions of the 3.01 NET3 shell (including
  8.                Rev. D), if a fake root is created and then a DIR SYS: (or
  9.                whatever the volume name is) is executed, a directory
  10.                listing at the volume level is shown and the fake root
  11.                structure of the network drive is lost.

  15.                MAP ROOT G:=SYS:THIS/THAT
  16.                     The root directory is at subdirectory THAT
  17.  
  18.                DIR SYS:
  19.                     The contents of SYS: is listed
  20.  
  21.                MAP G:
  22.                     SYS: is returned.  The fake root to THIS/THAT is gone.

  24.                Fake roots are described as a security feature in Novell
  25.                documentation.  NetWare 386 v3.1 documentation says that
  26.                users should not be assigned rights at the root directory
  27.                for security reasons.  If you do not want users to have
  28.                rights, they should not be able to do a DIR.

  30.                This problem has been reported to Engineering.
