- Subject: Particular Path Statement in Login Script Hangs
- Date: August 21, 1990
- OS Version: 286
- Shell Version: All
-
- PROBLEM: We had a customer putting the following command in his system
- login script on a 386 server:
-
- < set path = ";;" >.
-
- The command allowed him to add the DOS path to his default
- mappings. He tried it in the 286 environment and it hung his
- login.
-
- SOLUTION: This problem has been duplicated and reported to Engineering.
- A work-around is to use the ATTACH command to attach to the
- 286 server, CD to the PUBLIC directory, run SYSCON, and remove
- the command from the system login script.
