  6. GENERAL 
  7. INFORMATION:   We had a customer with an Everex 386/25 (Step) using an
  8. EV-348 ESDI controller who was having cold boot loader problems and his
  9. public files were getting corrupted for some reason during the install. 
  10. He changed his controller to a WD1007V-SE2 and this controller produced
  11. sluggish performance.

  13.                Everex claims there is a conflict when using this controller
  14. in the Everex Step 386/25.  The customer then tried an Adaptec 2322b-8
  15. enhanced ESDI controller and everything worked fantastic.
  16.  
  17.                This was tried and tested at multiple sites by the customer
  18. with the same results.
