  9.             PROBLEM  : How do you retain a user's local paths when mapping
  10.                        search drives?
  11.  
  12.            SOLUTION  : There are two ways of mapping drives without
  13.                        overwriting local paths.
  14.  
  15.                          MAP S16:=[path]
  16.  
  17.                        or
  18.  
  19.                          MAP INSert S1:=[path]
  20.  
  21.                        MAP S16: will append the search drive to the path using
  22.                        the next available drive letter.  MAP INS S1: will
  23.                        insert the search drive into the path at the first
  24.                        location using the next available drive letter.

  26. COMMENTS (Optional)  : There is one exception to this process. If you are
  27.                        using DOS 4.X with 286 NetWare then using either MAP
  28.                        S16: or MAP INS S1: will still overwrite your path.  A
  29.                        possible work-around is to use the 386 MAP utility on
  30.                        your 286 network.
