  3. There are drivers available on Netwire for the DEPCA board from
  4. DEC.  The file is named DEPCA.ZIP in library 17.
  5.  
  6. A DEPCA board is a NIC offered from DEC as an option for Decnet
  7. DOS, (3Com boards are also supported).  This is DEC's
  8. connectivity solution for PCs called Personal Computer System
  9. Architecture (PCSA).  PCSA is given away with VMS V5.3 for the
  10. host support. However, each workstation has to be licensed.  Four
  11. options for the ws are available:

  13.     1) DEPCA -AA        $340.
  14.            Board Only
  15.     2) DEPCA -BA        $447.
  16.        Board & 1 PC License
  17.     3) DEPCA -CA        $512.
  18.        Board & 1 PC License
  19.        1 mouse
  20.     4) DEPCA -KA        $765.
  21.        Board & 1 PC License
  22.        1 mouse, 1 Keyboard

  24. This card used to be priced starting at $995 but with the increased
  25. competition with NIC's is now available for $340.  So really, it just means
  26. another NIC that Netware supports.

  28. The key about our driver is that it can co-exist with the DEC drivers.
  29. This allows access to Decnet DOS and Netware simultaneously.
  30. In addition for the sites that are migrating to Netware this
  31. preserves their hardware investment.
