  5.                                    DESCRIPTION

  7.      The WD1007A-WA2 controller interfaces up to two ESDI Winchester disk 
  8.      drives with IBM PC/AT and compatibles and up to two 5-1/4 inch or 3-
  9.      1/2 inch floppy disk drives.  Look-ahead caching and 1:1 interleave 
  10.      significantly improve data through-put and reduce disk access time.  
  11.      The feature 1 (F001) version includes the optional BIOS which 
  12.      features shadow RAM.  This shadow RAM feature allows the WFDC to 
  13.      interface with all types of ESDI drives without modifying the system 
  14.      BIOS.  Option jumpers allow the BIOS to be mapped at one of four 
  15.      address ranges.
