  67.                 FUNCTIONAL LIMITATIONS OF DRIVERS FOR WINDOWS/386
  68.  
  69.         These drivers have been thoroughly tested and work very well with
  70.         WINDOWS/386  applications  such as Pagemaker or  Excel.  However,
  71.         there  are  technical  problems when  switching  between  WINDOWS
  72.         applications   and  standard  applications.  None  of  the   high
  73.         resolution drivers will support Previewing Windows or Icons  (ALT
  74.         + TAB) or Changing the Display Mode (ALT + ENTER) when a standard
  75.         application  is  run. Only the 1024X768 (4 or 16  color)  drivers
  76.         will  support  Select Active Window or Icon (ALT +  ESC)  when  a
  77.         standard application is run.

  79.         The setup procedure is as follows:
  80.  
  81.             1/  Backup the Windows disks (for Windows 1.03 & 1.04 and
  82.                 Windows/386 2.03, 2.10 & 2.11 only.  Use the backup disks
  83.                 to install Windows)
  84.  
  85.             2/  Prepare a blank formatted diskette (for Windows 2.03,
  86.                 Windows/286 2.10 & 2.11, Windows/386 2.03, 2.10 & 2.11
  87.                 and Windows 3.0 only).
  88.  
  89.             3/  Run  the  VDRIVER  program on Disk   #1  and  follow  the
  90.                 instructions given by the program.

  93.                        SPECIAL NOTE FOR WINDOWS 3.0 USERS
  94.  
  95.         During  the  installation  of Widows 3.0, you will  be  asked  to
  96.         insert the "OEM Display Disk" which is the disk you have  created
  97.         in step 2 of the setup procedure. Make sure the path shown on the
  98.         screen  is  the  root directory of the drive to  which  you  will
  99.         insert that disk.
  100.  
  101.         If  you install Windows 3.0 on a 386 machine, the  SETUP  program
  102.         may  prompt you this message: " Setup needs the  following  disk"
  103.         and  there is no description on what disk should be inserted.  In
  104.         this situation, simply insert the OEM Display Disk.
