  1. COMMAND:  FA (File Attribute)

  3. FUNCTION: Displays and allows changes to the read-only and archive attrubutes
  4.           of specified files.
  5.  
  6. FORMAT:   FA [filespec] [change-switches] [/S][/P][/U][/T]
  7.  
  8. TYPE:     Norton Utilities command
  9.  
  10. REMARKS:  filespec may include drive and path designations and global
  11.           characters. The default filespec is *.*.
  12.           change-switches are / followed by any of the four specifications
  13.           R A SYS or HID followed by a + or - to turn the read-only, archive,
  14.           system or hidden file attributes on or off. Multiple change-switches
  15.           may be specified.
  16.           /S causes FA to operate on all sub-directories below filespec.
  17.           /P causes the display to pause when the screen is full.
  18.           /U lists only unusual files,ie. those with attributes set or changed.
  19.           /T lists only the total count of files whose attributes were changed.
  20.           FA with no change-swithces list the current attribute settings.
