  3. FUNCTION: Allows you to create, change, or delete a volume label on a disk.

  5. FORMAT:   LABEL [d:][volume-label]

  7. TYPE:     DOS external command
  8.  
  9. REMARKS:  The specified volume-label is added to the specified or default
  10.           drive.  The label can consist of 1 to 11 characters but they will be
  11.           converted to upper case.  If no label is specified, the current label
  12.           on the specified or current drive is displayed and you are prompted
  13.           for entry of a new label.  Pressing Enter deletes the present label.
