This file is for users of V1.5 who wish to upgrade to V1.7 New users should use the full instructions.
To upgrade from V1.5:
1. Create a new directory called \S3AFUEL\ and transfer the contents of the old data directory \FUEL\. I know this seems a bit of a pointless change, but it was to bring S3AFUEL in line with all my other programs. In particular, make sure you include the FUEL.CFG file, as that contains the original registration details.
2. Replace the old S3AFUEL5.APP file with the new S3AFUEL7.APP. De-install the old icon <PSION-/> and reinstall S3AFUEL7.APP <PSION-I>.
3. If you are using the optional On-Line Help (Highly recommended) replace the file S3AFUELH.OVL in the \APP\S3AFUEL\ directory.
4. If you are using the optional Print option replace the file S3AFUELP.OVL in the \APP\S3AFUEL\ directory.
The following enhancements have been added.
a. The program has been redesigned to have separate text and graphical history screens. This allows the history screen to have all the same information as the main screen, which was one of the main complaints about V1.5. (and before anyone suggests that I combine the screens, let me assure you that would slow down the program to an unacceptable level)
b. Swedish Date format added (YY-MM-DD)
c. Ltrs/10kms added as consumption option.
d. A new 'Type' field added to denote normal/urban/long-distance driving. This should then show at a glance why a certain consumption figure is low. Use the 'Set Preferences' menu to define what display you would like.
e. Edit Memo now has a separate memo for each car.
f. You can now set a reminder for Oil Changes/Servicing or anything else which is date/distance based. The program will look at your normal use, and then warn you just before either the date or the mileage is due. it will then tell you again when you have missed it !!
g. The Statistics screen has been greatly expanded.
