  6. The digitale dive logbook for the Psion S3a and the 
  7. Citizen Hyper Aqualand diver watch.

  10. Advantages of the PSION S3a pocket computer:
  11.  - low wight (300 gr.) and small dimensions (16cm x 9cm) 
  12.  - over 40 hours with 2 batteries
  13.  - seriell data transmission
  14.  - graphical display

  16. Thus the Psion is the ideal hardware base for a mobile digital logbook
  17. like HYPERLOG. Together with the Citizen Hyper Aqualand, you have the
  18. right equipment for data transmisssion and depth profile viewing (who
  19. carries a PC or LAPTOP to his favorit divespot?). Now you can show the
  20. dive profile and other data like temperature to your buddy right after
  21. the dive.

  24. The features of HYPERLOG in detail:
  25.  - data recording from all dives loggged in the Hyper Aqualand
  26.    (incl. depthprofile data (5sec time resolution) and temperature data)
  27.  - graphical display of the depth profile with ascent warning 
  28.  - simulation of N2 tissue saturation (Haldanean law)
  29.  - storing additional informationen of typ of dive, used equipment,
  30.    some comments, etc.

  44. What hardware do I need?
  45.  - Psion S3a with min. 256K RAM
  46.  - seriell LINK-wire from Psion !!!
  47.  - GENDER-CHANGER with crossed data and handshake lines

  49. Installation of the program:
  50.  - create a directory C:\HYPER on your PC
  51.  - unzip all files on the disk with the -d option into C:\HYPER
  52.  - create on the PSION a directory \APP\HYPERLOG on internal RAM or drive A or B
  53.  - if not exist, create an \OPD directory on internal RAM or drive A or B 
  54.  - start the LINK software
  55.  - copy all files of the sample logbooks from C:\HYPER\OPD to \OPD
  56.  - copy all files from C:\HYPER\APP\HYPERLOG to \APP\HYPERLOG
  57.  - copy HYPERLOG.OPA from C:\HYPER\APP to \APP
  58.  - Install HYPERLOG with PSION-I
  59.  
  60. After starting HYPERLOG you can press a key to see the short animation
  61. and another keypress to abort the animation. Within HYPERLOG you can
  62. press the menu key or the help key for further information. Using the
  63. arrow keys you can move within a logbook back or forth or switch into
  64. the graphical viewing if a depth profile is avalible.

  66. There are two sample logbooks. One is called SAMPLE.LOG (5 dive entries)
  67. with metric unit data. The other one is called IMPERIAL.LOG (1 dive
  68. entry) using imperial units. Since you simply match the units from 
  69. HYPERLOG and the HYPER AQUALAND by starting a new divelog in the full
  70. version, you have to use one of the two sample logbooks in the shareware 
  71. version to fit your needs.
