  2. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1. Help for Key Sound ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  4. The Keys Dialog Box is used to associate key strokes with sounds. 
  5.  
  6. Enter in the  Key entry field to indicate the key that is to be setup. No 
  7. overtype is necessary as this field is a single character field only. 
  8.  
  9. Output in the Code entry field is the scan code value for the key. A scan code 
  10. value may also be entered directly in this field. This field is mandatory. 
  11.  
  12. Output in the Index entry field is the index value for the key. The index value 
  13. is used by other programs to generate audio from System Sounds. See the User 
  14. Guide for more information on the Developer Kit program interface. 
  15.  
  16. Enter in the Key Description entry field as an optional description for the 
  17. key.  Enter either text or numbers in this field. This field should be filled 
  18. in before the Open push button is selected. 
  19.  
  20. Select Ctrl checkbox to indicate that a sound is to be generated when Ctrl is 
  21. struck in combination with the selected key. Ctrl may also be used in 
  22. combination with Alt and Shift.

  24. Select Alt checkbox to indicate that a sound is to be generated when Alt is 
  25. struck in combination with the selected key. Alt may also be used in 
  26. combination with Ctrl and Shift.

  28. Select Shift checkbox to indicate that a sound is to be generated when Shift is 
  29. struck in combination with the selected key. Shift may also be used in 
  30. combination with Ctrl and Alt.

  32. Output in Filename entry field indicates the name of the file selected in the 
  33. open file dialog, which is a accessed by selecting the Open push button.

  35. Select the Disable Keys checkbox to disable all key sounds. When selected all 
  36. key sounds are disabled and the associated .wav files are unloaded from memory.

  38. Select the OK push button to exit this dialog box. 
  39.  
  40. Select the Open push button to access the open file dialog and select a file to 
  41. associate with the key. 
  42.  
  43. Select the Clear push button to clear the association between the current key 
  44. and the indicated filename. The Clear push button will only effect the key and 
  45. scan code which are listed.

  47. Select the Help push button to view this help panel.
