- README FILE FOR THE OS2HELP PACKAGE
- ===================================
-
- CHANGE HISTORY
- --------------
- 09/23/92 - Added an additional file called OS2HELP ZIPBIN.
-
- DESCRIPTION
- -----------
- OS2HELP is a collection of almost 90 documents that the IBM OS/2
- Support Line (1-800-237-5511) uses to answer questions for callers.
- In most cases, these documents are FAXed to the caller. Please note
- that these documents are *NOT* official IBM documents.
-
- OS2HELP EXEBIN (DO *NOT* give this to customers - PKZIP licensing issue)
- --------------
- Download OS2HELP EXEBIN to your PC as a binary file. OS2HELP.EXE is
- a self-extracting ZIP file created using PKZIP. To extract/expand
- the documents, simply type OS2HELP from a DOS command line, and the
- document files will be extracted with a file extension of FAX. They
- are text (ASCII) files and can be viewed with your favorite editor.
- PLEASE DO NOT give this version to customers, as there are legal
- issues with licensing of PKZIP. This package is IBM INTERNAL USE
- ONLY!!
-
- OS2HELP ZIPBIN (** Give this one to customers**)
- --------------
- Contents are the same as OS2HELP EXEBIN, but a licensed copy of
- PKUNZIP is required to expand the file. This file can be given
- freely to anyone outside of IBM.
