- KEYBxx
- or
- KEYB xx[,yyy][,[d:][pathname]filename[.ext] [new DOS 3.3]
- [/ID:zzz] [new DOS 4.0]
-
- This external command lets a language outside the USA be typed on the keyboard.
- It should be installed by an INSTALL=KEYB line in the CONFIG.SYS file (in DOS
- 4.0), or executed once early in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file (before other commands
- that use or redefine the keyboard). See the NEW_TERMS CODE_PAGE CODES topic for
- keyboard layout codes, default code pages, and 101-key keyboard id codes. The
- command KEYB with no options will list the current settings.
-
- xx specifies the keyboard layout of the keyboard.
-
- yyy specifies the code page to use, if the default is not appropriate.
-
- filename[.ext] specifies the keyboard definition file. KEYBOARD.SYS is the
- default. A keyboard definition file contains a table to translate each
- key or combination of keys on the keyboard into an entry in the code page
- used for the keyboard.
-
- /ID:zzz specifies a keyboard id code for an 101-key keyboard.
