- FDISK is an external command that is used to setup a hard disk. Before a
- hard disk (sometimes called a fixed or Winchester disk) can be used by DOS,
- you must run FDISK and FORMAT each partition. Not all DOS systems come with
- the FDISK command. Some use PART instead. FDISK won't work for disks on
- another computer in a network.
