  10. PowWow Version 3.7 provides new installation cue cards to help
  11. both new and experienced users set up PowWow even faster and
  12. easier than before.  In addition, we have added a menu bar to
  13. the Group Chat window in Communities to make it easier to
  14. access your favorite options.

  46. PowWow Version 3.6 includes powerful new functionality for Remote
  47. Community Hosting, in addition to numerous product updates and fixes to
  48. user-reported problems.

  57. o    Remote Community Administration - you or anyone you choose,
  58.      can now administer your PowWow Community from any
  59.      computer. Remote Community Administration abilities include:

  61.      o    Establishing member criteria for passwords, age and specific

  64.      o    Defining and enforcing etiquette including profanity iltering
  65.           and removing offenders

  67.      o    Running community promotions including welcome screens

  73. o    Remote Community Moderation - you, or anyone you choose, can

  202. Other Issues

  204. PowWow uses the 32-bit Common Controls library to create many of the
  205. dialog boxes and windows you see. If you have an older version of the
  206. COMCTL32.DLL file PowWow may not be able to draw these
  207. correctly and will cause a General Protection Fault as a result.
  208.  
  209. In order to use PowWow, you must have Version 4.70 or later of the
  210. COMCTL32.DLL file. Version 4.70 of the COMCTL32.DLL file is
  211. dated August 8, 1996, 8:30PM with a size of 310,544 bytes.

  213. If you have an older version, you need to install the latest version 
  214. of the COMCTL32.DLL file. It is available for download from Microsoft's
  215. FTP site at:

  219. After you have downloaded the file, run it by double-clicking on the
  220. COMCTL32.EXE file. If you are unsure of where the file is on your
  221. computer, use the Find Files applet from the Start Menu to locate it.

  223. Be sure to reboot your computer after installing it for the changes to take effect.
