[Batch Encode]

Encode a batch of files.

In this window, projects that have been added to the batch list are displayed. Clicking the "Run" button starts all encoding of all of the projects in the list.

This window can be opened, or a project can be added to the list the options in the [File] menu.

"Add" Button
Click the "Add" button to read in a previous saved project and add it to the batch list. This information contains the location of the source files, as well as all of the settings.

"Delete" Button
Remove a selected project from the batch encode list.

Be mindful that this only removes a project from the list, it does not delete it. It can also remove projects added by the [Add current project to batch list] option of the [File] menu.

Me cautious not to delete a project which has been added to batch list before removing the project from the batch list.


"Clear" Button
Remove all entries from the list.

"Open List" Button
Open a previously save batch list. The file extension for a TMPGEnc batch list is ".tbe".

"Save List" Button
Save the current batch encode list. The file extension for a TMPGEnc batch list is ".tbe". TMPGEnc also retains the most recent batch list upon restart.

If another batch encode is started while one is in progress, the most recent encoding takes precedence.

"Run" Button
Click this button to begin encoding the projects in the batch list.







"Stop" Button
Stop the encoding. This can also be accomplished by using the "Stop" button in the main window.

Batch List
This list displays all projects that will be batch encoded. Click the project and click the "Delete" button to remove a project from the list.

Double clicking on a project in the batch list will bring up the [MPEG Settings] window.

Right clicking a project in the file brings up more options for the project.



The menu contains the following options.

Menu option Function
Output

Change from the selected output format. As well as selecting a different output type, one can use this option to change the current output file name.

MPEG Setting Change the settings for the project via the [MPEG Settings] window.
Finished Marks the project as finished. A finished project has been encoded and will be excluded from batch encoding.

If a check is in front of the project, it will be excluded from the batch encoding when the "Start" button is pushed.

Preview Preview the selected project via the [Preview] window.
Save Project Save the selected project.
Delete Remove the selected project from the list.
Select All Select all of the projects in the batch list.
Select all executed items. Select all projects that have been "finished."
