Users network is a collection of thousands of bulletin boards. Once the domain of techno-geeks who had the patience to memorize dozens of text-based commands, Usenet bulletin boards, which are most often called newsgroups, have evolved into on-line hangouts where people can discuss every subject imaginable.

There are tens of thousands of newsgroups available on the Internet. If you simply want to chat with someone about your favorite band or about a book you've recently read, there's bound to be a newsgroup waiting for you. And people who are interested in esoteric hobbies or pursuits can find others who share those particular interests.
