The Selection Frame is used in conjunction with several editing operations including clipboard functions and text entry. The contents of an active selection can be dragged with the left mouse button to any location in the image.
Click on the Selection Frame tool button to access it directly. Press the left mouse button down over any pixel to define the first corner of a selection. Drag the cursor to the opposite corner and release the mouse button. The rectangular selection is now available for use with clipboard functions or can be moved to another area of the image.
