Remote Commander

Remote Commander allows the PDA to act as both a mouse and keyboard attached to the PC.

Controlling the Mouse
Using the Keyboard

Using the Mouse

To control the mouse using Remote Commander, draw with the stylus on the blank portion of the Remote Commander screen. This will move the cursor on the PC screen.

Using the Keyboard

Remote Commander can send keystrokes to the PC. All characters that are typed or written are sent to the active application on the PC.

If handwriting recognition is turned on, Remote Commander does not send the mouse movements to the PC

Scribble

Scribble allows each user on the PDA to "scribble" directly on the PC's screen.

Each user has a separate cursor on the screen, which is a unique shape and color. These cursors are not connected to the real PC's cursor, and cannot be used for operating any Windows application.

To move the cursor on the PC screen, simply draw with the stylus on the PDA's screen.

The cursor on the PC will have the user name from the PDA as well as a shape and color. To change the shape and color, click on the double-arrow icon if the toolbar buttons are not displayed, then use the toolbar buttons to select the desired shape and color.

Multicursor

MultiCursor is designed to investigate issues when each PDA user has their own cursorThe PDA side of MultiCursor looks and works just like Pebbles Remote Commander, but the PC side, instead of having all users share the same as in Remote Commander, with MultiCursor, each user has their own separate cursor.

Communications

Remote Commander communicates to PebblesPC through a serial connection. Remote Commander is able to connect through a serial cable or through raw IR transmission. To switch between the two types of communication use the Options dialog in the Options menu.
