Creating new Profiles
Creating new
profiles is easy, and can save you a lot of time when downloading a website using the same
download method every time.
Perhaps the best way to explain the creation of a new
profile is to go through an example.
Let's say we wish to download a certain page and all pages linked to this page. Now
if we do this type of download often, it would be nice to have a profile which has this
scenario already setup for us. Call it:
Selected Page + 1 Level (Text,
Images)
Step 1: New | WebZIP Task.
This opens the WebZIP Task Wizard, where we enter the Starting URL, Task Name, and
Download Destination.
Step 2: Select Create New Profile.
Step 3: Levels and Locations.
- Levels - Current Page + 1 Level
- Page Location - Current Site
- Resource Location - Current Site
This will get only pages and resources on the current site
and only follow links on the first page. (starting address)
Step 4: Save Profile.
The profile can now be named and saved. |
