Diagonal and horizontal matches tend to be better than vertical
matches. The reason is that diagonal and horizontal matches cause other
columns to shift as well, often causing further matches once the gems
have fallen into place.

Once you've found a spot for the current falling gems, make them
fall more quickly by pressing the down arrow. Doing so will net you many extra points. |

Every level has a predefined bonus gem which is shown on the lower
left side of the screen. Once the current level is completed, every gem
of this type is then also removed from the playfield, often creating further
matches and clearing large sections of the playfield. Keep this bonus
gem in mind during game play!
