TrustLink 3D - Introduction

What is a TrustLink?

A TrustLink is a shortcut to another file. Every Steganos encrypted file and carrier file can contain TrustLinks and thus link to other files. But a TrustLink is more than a shortcut. A TrustLink also contains the password of the linked file.

The smallest possible TrustLink network consists of two files: A carrier file or a Steganos encrypted file that contains a TrustLink to one other file. Imagine the linked file contains sensible business information - the last quarter's numbers or other important company secrets. Only you and your closest colleagues are authorized to access these files and therefore only these persons know the password.

Of course, there is information that must not be accessed by anyone but you. Save them invisibly in a carrier file and encrypt them by a different password.

From your point of view there are two files of different security levels. One file is accessible only by you (high security level) and the other file is accessibly by a group of persons (lower security level). TrustLink allows you to create a link inside the high security level file that points to the lower security level file. This TrustLink contains path and password of the linked file. When you open the high security level file access to lower security level files is granted instantly.
