To listen or copy music from CDs, use the CD Audio feature. When you put a CD in your CD drive, Windows Media Player begins playing it automatically, unless Windows Media Player is already in use.
You can copy tracks from your CD to your hard disk. A benefit of copying your CDs to your hard disk is that you can easily switch between CDs or songs on CDs without having to change the CD. Another benefit of copying CD tracks to your hard disk is that you can create customized lists of songs, called playlists, which you can arrange however you want. When you copy the CD tracks, you can compress the tracks so that they donÆt use as much space on your hard disk.
