Even if JPegger initially was designed to be a pure Image Viewer the playback of Music files has been added due to user demands. The simple sound playback has grown up over the months to a full featured and complete Music Explorer that automatically analyzes your MP3 tags and organizes all your MP3 files into a very convenient tree structure.

Change the Tab to the MP3 Music Explorer and use the Browse button or file menu to browse for a root folder with your MP3 files. JPegger then runs through all your files, reads the MP3 tags and organizes the MP3 files according to folder, artist, album, genre, and playlists (M3U files) in the tree on the left hand side.

The Organizer Tree fills the left hand side of the MP3 Music Explorer and works like a filter: E.g. to see all titles from a certain artist open the main branch Artist in the tree and select an artist. The title list, which is the upper tree view shows all titles from this artist. Same works with main branch Genre. In addition in genres there are sub branches again for Artists. The Organizer Tree allows you to quickly find what you are searching for.

In addition you can use a search dialog with <Ctrl+F> to search for artists, album, titles and so on.

The MP3 tags which are stored within the MP3 files are used for organizing the files in the tree. You can modify the MP3 tags freely with the MP3 Tag Editor. The tree is automatically updated according to the modified MP3 tags.

If you double click a title in the title list this entry will be copied into the current playlist, which is the lower list view and the title starts playing. You can add as many titles to the playlist as you like and the titles are played in the given order. A double click in the lower playlist directly starts the selected title in the player.

Use the self-explaining context menus (right mouse click) for more functions like Shuffle Mode (random order) or Auto Repeat Mode which repeats the playlist when finished.

A unique feature of JPegger is the Excel export function of the current title list. This allows you to make lists with your titles in Excel for easy printing.
